ARTISANS D´ANGKOR - Phnom Penh
Artisans d'Angkor stands out in a city filled with silk and sculptures. Run by an organization dedicated to training young people in the art of their country, this beautiful shop offers a selection of brilliantly-coloured silks, beautiful lacquer ware, stone carvings, bas-reliefs and woodcarvings that make it hard to walk away empty-handed.

Artisans d'Angkor was founded in 1998 as a place to help young Cambodian artisans find work and to provide them with a trade. There are now 38 workshops in Siem Reap province where artisans produce exquisite, upscale products made by hand using local materials and designed by the artistic department.

Artisans d' Angkor has been awarded the "Seal of Excellence for Handicrafts" by UNESCO and is a fine example of local artistry combined with top-notch training.
